ALITAGTAG BATANGAS
Alitagtag was named after the word “Alinagnag” which means a small but distinct light. It was once a group of five (5) barangays namely, Alitagtag, Balagbag, Dalipit, Munlawin and Muzon of the Municipality of Bauan. It came into existence as a town on the 1st day of January 1910 by virtue of an Executive Order issued on the 7th day of May 1909 by then Philippine Civil Commission headed by Executive Secretary Carpinter. From then on Alitagtag has grown and developed to its present state looking forward to a peaceful and sustainable future.
